So I am officially one week out from all my surgeries. I can almost straighten up. The pain isn't nearly what I anticipated, but the energy depletion is the bummer. I'd love to hear how others have recovered  from multiple procedures and their tips and tricks.

Thank you for your responses. I am so happy to report one drain was removed today, and if all goes well the couple of anchor stiches and one remaining drain will come out on Tuesday. I am planning on going in the office to work on Wednesday, so the frantic closet search for clothes to wear to conceal the 2 size larger hips and arm lift restriction is on!

I am also I week out from my surgery -- upper back lift and breast implants to replace what I've lost from my weight loss. I am very fatigued -- this is the first time I've picked up my laptop in 3 days, which tells me I'm really wiped out, as I usually can't put it down. I'm not sure how normal it is to be this wiped at this point, as the last time it turned out that I had MRSA -- so I'm being a worrier this time. I did call my surgeon's office -- they told me it is normal to be this way after a double procedure, and I'll be seeing him on Thursday and they'll look me over then. In the meantime, relax, keep taking medication, do some walking around, keep hydrated, protein, and keep track of temperature. So I'll know on Thursday. But the general opinion is that it takes 10 days-2 weeks or more.

Hope you have good results with yours!

I have to say for the first few days all I wanted to do is sleep. I had very minimal pain because I took my meds every 4 hours because I did not want to feel the pain, and I did not want to move except to do the required restroom breaks, massages and go to the doctor. I am now 2 weeks and have been minimizing myself to using the heavy pain drugs to nighttime use and first thing in the morning when I am very sore. I did catch the post surgery cold which was really scarey caughing, I held my stomache for dear life.

I have one drain left so that really bugs me because it is in the groin. I have been working from home for the last week and my doc wants me to work from home for one more week, since I have so many "open wounds' and take public transportation to work. I spend most of my day working on a computer anyway, so kicking back in my recliner works out. The implants are healing really nice, I cannot wait until they feel like a part of me, but I went on the smaller side because I did a lift as well and did not want people to be able to tell I had implants. They are submuscular and very natural, so I am tender but not hurting or heavy chested. I am getting feeling back so far everywhere except the aereola, which is to be expected.

The areas on my back that are the most tender are where the lipo was, I had flaks done, but my doc gave me a "birthday present and sculpted a little more at my hips and up my back to the bra line.

All in all most my energy is back, but have to walk very slow and be very careful in my movements, but since I am taking motrin  I can feel the pain to not push the limits I am being good. I have a few stiches left in my arms otherwise everything else has been removed. 95% of my stiches were desolvable.

My doc said getting energy back week two is normal then peole over do it and take a step backwards, so that is why I am staying put for one more week.

Good luck with your recovery and rest if you can.

Shelly
