I have also seen his work and what i saw was not pretty, his scars were crooked and the final product after 6 months was not good at all. people are just out here trying to warn others. I didn't go to MX or even have Dr Sauceda but from everything I have seen it is all good, I have NEVER seen 1 negative complaint about him on this board or any other board
maybe you are one of the lucky one, hope so, but you actually dont see the final PS results for at least 6 months
good luck to you

I used Dr. Quiroz for a lower body lift. He is amazing! I live in Oklahoma, flew into San Diego and they picked me up and took me to Cosmed. He was friendly and professional and my scar is tiny! I'm 8 weeks post op now and feel great! I will try to post pics in my profile, but seriously, he is AMAZING, and you will love your results!

Stef,
As I mentioned his results are not the only problem I found when researching him. It was his safety measures. You are fortunate to have good results, but tell us about the process. You fly into San Duego, he picks you up in a taxi or private car? Takes you across the boarder and then what? Do you stay overnight in a hospital? Is it outpatient? Does he take you back to your hotel after surgery? That is and was my main concern when I heard my friend's horror story. He put her in a taxi and sent her to a hotel after her outpatient LBL! She had internal bleeding. Dr S never sends you back to the hotel until you have stayed at the hospital for 2 or 3 days and you are totally stable. He then has his nurse visit you each and every morning to help you shower, dress your incisions and get you back into your garment which he supplies two of. She assesses you and your incisions. She reports back to him and if he is concerned he calls and gives you instructions until he can get there to see you. He sees his patients daily for 12 days. I really cannot say enough about how cautious and how diligent he is about his patients safety. If you have problems and cannot go to the hotel like one patient had back problems from a previous back injury. He kept her in the hospital for the 12 days with 24 hour nursing care at no extra charge. Both you and the other Dr Q patient say how awesome he is, well, tell us his process. What does he have in place for emergencies? A surgeon can and often times looks awesome until the poop hits the fan and then you really find out what they are made of. I guess, what I am asking is this, IF Dr Q is awesome and perhaps he learned from his past mistakes, let's hear his process. I want to be fair and give you and the other patient as chance to tell us what makes him awesome besides your thin LBL scar. Because many of us have seen his other results and are not impressed. Because in all honesty and seriousness, a thin beautiful LBL scar means nothing to me IF safety isn't paramount in the surgeon's mind.

Here are the reviews of Dr. Q:

Here is Dr. Q's Website (lists his qualifications, no prices listed):

Notice that Dr. Sauceda has 663 members and most of them are either getting plastics done with him or have gotten plastics done with him. Out of all the people who have gone to him all of them have nothing bad to say about him. Some awesome things about Dr. Sauceda is that he visits you even after you're out of the hospital pretty much every day excluding Sundays. His wife works along side him as his anesthesiologist. His nurse visits you everyday and I've heard she is sweet as pie. If you spend over $7000 he will pay up to $600 for you plane ticket, pay for your hotel, and I've heard as you start combining procedures it costs less. He has so much experience working with weight loss patients heck from what it sounds like most of them have undergone some kind of weight loss transformation.

Also, Notice that Dr. Quirez only has 26 reviews and only 23 of those are 100% positive. One of the patients even ended up needing revisions. Now what is the point of going to a plastic surgeon if he doesn't do it right the first time. To me that is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusible!

Initially I was going with Dr. Q however as with another poster here to me a couple bad reviews is too many bad reviews. He Called my about 3 times inquiring whether I had made my decision or not. By that time I had decided on Dr. S although my communication with him was minimal I decided to gather my courage and make the trip. My friend went to Dr. Q and was very happy. I have another friend who went to Dr. Q and they forgot to pick her up! She walked across the Mexican border alone, just her and her suit case. At that point I think I would have went home but she did fly all the way from the UK..Even though Dr. S was short on communication as he does not have a secretary and takes his own calls I am by and large happy with his work. My TT line is nice and clean where as my friend who had her TT in Canada has a very crooked line. I have also heard of a patient of his who had complications that Canada would not touch. He flew her back and fixed his problem. I think that says a

lot about the man.

Not long have this original post was posted, I was on LapBand Talk and someone asked about Dr Q.  I answered as I did here, very blunt and clear.  I mentioned my concerns and let it go.  I got several PM's from this woman who was planning her surgery with Dr Q and was very angry and hateful that I would have the nerve to say anything negative about him - especially since I had never gone to him.  I told her, after my research and what I found, I would be an idiot to go to him.  She told me I must be mentally ill.  I told her thanks, I will be sure to look into some meds!

Well, about 3 months after that message, I got a new message from her and her friend.  They both apologized profusely for being angry with me for trying to warn them of Dr Q and his poor safety practices post op.  One said her incisions are not straight and they are horrible.  She has sagging on one side.  The other almost died of internal bleeding and was ignored by Dr Q and his staff.  (same scenario as my friend who started me researching Dr Q)

Bad things can happen with Plastics regardless of where you go.  Complications happen, but it's so vital to be with a surgeon who puts your safety and your well being first.  A doctor who doesn't leave your post op care to you - especially if you are going out of the country.
