How did you save for it?

I thought this would be a great thread to start to see how eachother saved for their plastic surgery. Assuming your insurance didn't cover it. So for those who had to pay out of your pocket what did you do to save it? How long did it take for you to save? What did you spend ultimately? When you reached what you wanted to save what did you do first?

Also if you are currently saving how are you saving? I'm trying to find the best ways to save.

I got a $4500 tax refund for my daughter's adoption credit, saved another $7000 just in bits and pieces, and financed the rest. My best advice is save what you can and make sure your credit is in tip-top shape so you can borrow the money and pay it back monthly, like a car payment, I'm still paying mine off from last summer, but definitely worth every penny.

I'm not sure my credit will good enough for a loan. I really think I might have to pay out of pocket which is going to hurt like a mother. But I have to remind myself that its worth it.

For my BL/BA/Thighlift (2nd stage) I moved to a studio apartment!  I am in my 40's so that seems really sad for my friends when they visit.  They all feel "sorry" for me!  I do not feel sorry for myself!  I did it for good reason!  I am also working another job!  I am an RN and I work 12 hour nights.  I have been working 6 nights a week for over 6 weeks and things are starting to add up!

My first TT and Brachioplasty in 2009, my very wealthy and very ass-like former bf paid for it.  He said I was very unattractive and grotesque, this was his contribution to try to get me better looking!  According to him, it didn't work!

My LBL/Anchor Cut TT/Facelift and Thighlift, I borrowed from my 401K.  It was easy!  I was able to borrow up to 50% and pay it back via my paycheck - to myself at 4% interest, no fees and no penelties.  I applied online and had the check in 4 days!

Wow you're former boyfriend is an asshat at least you got a TT and Brachioplasty out of it. I'm thinking about getting a part time job and saving 3/4 of the money for plastic surgery. It will be difficult to work a job while in college but I have to do it. I know I will not feel whole if I don't have the plastic surgeries I know I will need. I just hope I will be able to find something. I know for the Christmas season should be able to get a temporary job and save that money. I'm also moving to Minneapolis to live with my father so I can save the money I'd pay for rent out of my student loans towards plastic surgery. What stinks is I also have a private student loan to pay off ($8000) so I can go to another college to get my masters.
