Three + years out from my sleeve & had my plastics and hernia repair last year. Just 2 weeks ago had Laproscopic gallbladder removal get rid of the gall stones.

They could not keep the belly button do to large hernia repair last year. When they went to put camera in about where belly button would be for gallbladder removal, they hit an under ground aquaphor &  had to drain it. I had drains in for 41 days last year and drained off 1.42 gallons of this stuff. Apparently left over from my plastic surgery actually kind of flattenend out my stomach a little.

So they finish gallbladder removal, everything went well. He checked the incision where they drained the fluid this last monday on my follow-up visit. As this was the (one he was concerned about) in his words. So fast forward to last night sitting on couch happen to notice this bulge underneath incision about the size of a golf ball. WTF! Kind of feels like my hernia did before, just much more noticeable without all the extra skin there.

Caled the surgeons office, nurse called back think's it's fluid collecting at this point. Maybe a seroma, something that didn't happen last year now I get after Laprascopic procedure REALLY.

The nurse is going to run it by the surgeon and will call back with where to proceed from here.

Sorry so long needed to vent. I guess if I don't have something to worry about I can't stay sane.

Wow I never heard of that happening. I'm really sorry that you have had to go through all of that. Hopefully they get their crap together and figure it out. I hope you don't have to pay for the laparascopic procedure.

I haven't had anything done but I hope to and from what I've read it seems a little strange what you're going through.

Seems strange but this stuff does happen. Insurance did cover the gallbladder removal, I was self pay for my WLS and plastics to this point.

Just seems like it's 1 bump after the other here lately though.

Bubba- I think a seroma can happen at any incision site. Maybe google seroma and see what pops up?'
Feel better real soon dude!

Surgeons office called back feel pretty sure it is a Seroma. Just told me to monitor it for now as they don't want to aspirate it, as they feel it will probably come right back on me and want it to settle down a bit.

If it starts to get bigger quick they said to call back and they may aspirate or put a drain in to take care of it. But hopefully it will go away on it's own.

Thanks,
