Thank you for your thoughts, Nance. "Just your opinion" makes a lot of sense. Best of luck in 2013!!

Go with your gut and do what bothers you most, switch up the surgery to get out of that puddle and then next summer go get the girls fixed.  Enjoy your wedding and I wish you a smooth recovery with this surgery!

Thanks, Heidi -- unfortunately my gut is doing flip-flops, but once I speak to my surgeon again the decision will be made -- I'd hate to have to wait til next summer to get rid of the puddle! The girls can actually be fixed during a school break, I think. Thanks for the good wishes!

I was almost 59 when I had most all of my body done at once with Dr Sauceda in Jan 2011.  I'll be going back for the UBL, as I didn't think it was that bad, but after everything else was done, LBL, BL, arms, inside groin thigh lift... the extra hanging skin on my back just shows up more.  4 days after my body work, I had a full neck and facelift.  I'm going back next Jan so my back will look as good as the front.

You can take pics and send to Dr S and see what his recommendation is.  I do love my new butt with the butt flaps to help round out the top.  You can click on Dr Sauceda in my siggy line.  Krissy just had her UBL a week ago and is still in Monterrey.

Thanks for sharing about doing your whole body at one time -- I'm definitely going to speak to the surgeon about the possibility of doing more at one time to get it over with. I'll have a month to recover before school starts again. By the way: What are butt flaps???

Dr S takes the rectangles from the back from the LBL, and strips off the skin and places the fat inside the upper butt, making a 2"x3" or so flap that rounds out the upper butt.  I think I posted pics back a couple of months back showing with my hands on my butt where they were positioned.  Unlike adding lipo'd fat, which can reabsorb, I haven't noticed any difference in size and I'm 18mo out.

 Hi Marla
I think you should go with what bothers you more if you have to choose.  I agree with Anne; check and see if your surgeon will also do the BL at the same time.  I had 4 procedures done last Monday...six hours, but well worth it.  Now I'm only looking at a possible implant if needed.  There are pics on my profile, in-box me if you'd like to see them.
Also regarding your complications, many improvements have been made the last 5 years, so your surgeon might be able to do things differently to lessen the chance of the same complications.
Good luck with your decision!
Alex
