Hi everyone. I had a breast reduction and lift yesterday. Before I got the reduction and lift I was assymetrical. One breast was a DD and the other a D. My doc was supposed to just reduce the one side to match the other and lift both, I think he reduced both. They appear very small under all the bandages. How long before your breasts looked normal again to get a good idea of hoe they should be? I did not want to get implants, but if they are too small then thats more money I now have to shell out. UGH...alittle diappointed right now, but don't know if I should be until they settle in. Any advice??

Thanks

With a lift, your breast will look smaller because skin has been removed. I think you will be fine. just try to relax so your body can heal. By 3-4 weeks I think you should be able to see your results.

I thought that they can't do just one breast. That they had to do both to get
a symetrical look. I could be wrong. Let your body heal and like the previous
poster said, wait a couple of weeks before you worry.

Good luck

I agree with the others, with all the swelling it would be impossible to have any idea right now. Give it time, best of luck!

 Hi Tonya
I had a lift only and because there was so much extra skin, I went down a complete cup.  Might be even more since I'm still swollen and its only been a 1 1/2 weeks.  I knew I wanted to get back to my original full C cups, but now that I've been living with these perky girls, I'm actually enjoying them.  I can easily go without a bra.  We'll see how I feel in a month or two, but for now I'm happy.

What was your size before you had surgery? I'm just concerned that they look so smushed. I know it's only been a couple days, but i'm not seeing perky and that concerns me. The nurse said it takes 3 to 4 months for them to get back to a good shape, I just wondered what other people experienced. This was not the look I expected! I hope in a few months I will be happier with them. My doc said he made me a small D/ full C, but I feel like I look like an A or B cup.

I was a full C before surgery, but like I said, it was mostly skin.  It looks like I'm a small B now.  You can see pics on my profile.  In-box me.

Ahansil -- I just looked at your pics again -- I don't think you look like a small B. It looks like larger than I want, which is a full B. Though the swelling may not be gone yet.

By the way, do they put drains in with this surgery? I'm also getting skin removed from my upper back, so I don't know if they put drains with that...
