Can someone explain this procedure.  How is the recovery?  Do you have drain tubes?  What kind of results did you get? I will be researching this also but thought came to mind that I may want to look into this a little further.

Thanks.

HI, out of all my surgeries, it was the only one I took pain medication for, but i love my results and soooooo glad that i had it done, i always wore shorts i mean real shorts even at 275 lbs cause i had nice legs until i lost almost 100 lbs . if i didnt have the thigh lift i would not be wearing shorts today or a bathing suit, it was worth the pain for a few days, it was uncomfortble sitting, standing and walking was no problem at all, i have pix on my profile
good luck to u

Thank you to the only one *****sponded to me!!

And thank you for sharing your pics.  I have to tell you the truth - that looks so painful!!  And the bad part is I would have to drive 3 hours to get it done and would not look forward to coming home.

BTW - I think your legs look nice.

Thanks again.

Hi Sue, I had my thighs done with other procedures. I spent 5 nights in a clinic, then 7 nights in a hotel.  I was very happy to have daily nursing care, as well as seeing my surgeon daily.  Of all of my procedures the groin incisions from the thigh lift were the most painful and took the longest to heal.  I did not want to wear underwear for several months.

That  said, I would do it again in a flash because I love the results and how much better my legs look.  I had extensive lipo of my thighs at the same time.

I had a thigh lift and breast lift at the same time.  I didn't have drains for the thigh portion.  I had a lot of extra skin that was visible when I wore slacks - happy to say that is now gone and my thighs no longer rub together.  The first couple of days were rough getting in and out of bed.  My incision is in the groin area and goes about 2/3 of the way down to my knees.  My advise for whichever surgeries you decide to do is to get your core as strong as you can before the surgery - Either Pilates or yoga.

Hi, Sue

About 5 years ago I had a sort of abbreviated thigh lift after a lower body lift -- I had hanging skin on top, and the doctor pulled up and removed the part that was hanging. I didn't want to do the cut down the leg. I was very happy with the result. Since then I've lost another 50 lbs and my thighs and butt are saggy again. I'd like to do a revision. I'm not hanging from the inside top now, but I need a lift up -- still don't want to cut down the leg. The same doctor says he can do a pull up with good results. I'm scheduled for surgery in August -- supposed to do an upper back lift and breast implants (full B), but I'm tempted to switch it to the lower body because it bothers me more -- leave the other for next time. Going back and forth in my mind -- I'm meeting with the surgeon again next Monday and will decide which one we're doing. (I'm am going nuts with this decision. I should post it as a new topic, actually!)
