It sounds like binder it is! My surgeon didnt give ant requirements for it so i will use all of your experiences and start living in mine. Thanks everyone for sharing and helping others with your experiences.

I had a hernia repair, tt, brachioplasty and breast lift almost four weeks ago.  My surgeon requires either a binder or spanx time undergarment including compression sleeves on the arms twenty four hours a day.  I am going to see him tomorrow, and I think he will let me take the stuff off at night only.

I had a fair amount of swelling, actually went back to the bariatric surgeon (ps was on vacation) and I did have a seroma - chose not to drain it and it has gone done.  still some swelling.  went back to work two weeks out.   tummy gets sore around 2pm - 3pm - usually take tylenol. Looking forward to three or four months out !

I think the binding is important - actually feels comfortable at night

I am almost post op 5 weeks. I, too, am a sweller. I wear my binder  23/7. I am sorry you are experiencing the swell hell, too. I have started monitoring my sodium to less than 1500 mg a day. It seems to help.

It's been 2 months since anyone posted in here... how are you doing??

I'm researching for a LBL, BA/BL and the post op recovery has me so nervous!  I have a desk job (I'm an office manager) so I wonder when I might feel able to go back.  If necessary, I suppose I could do part time from home with a laptop but i can't really be there for my staff if I'm not physcially IN the office.

Life has gotten crazy. Between medical stuff with me, my older daughter, my baby having tubes next week, I haven't been around. As far as the recovery, other than swelling, it was way easier than any other surgery. I have a job where I could schedule to be in the office for the couple of weeks after, and I only had one day I went home early due to pain from swelling. Other than that, it was pretty easy.

The day I went home early, I did work from home, and it went fine. Just take it easy and listen to your body. Wearing the band they send you home with was a big help I learned for the first 5 weeks if I didn't wear it, my pants got tight. Now, 13 weeks out, l am sooooo glad I did it, worth it!!
Good luck, you will be so glad you did it.
