I dunno, the jury is out for me. I didn't take arnica or bromelain for my first two surgeries, and I bled quite a bit. I did them for my arms (both rubbed the cream and took the supplements) and still bruised quite heavily in one arm. Then again, I think I'm just a bleeder in general. So I don't know. I think that the cream might work just because the act of rubbing a bruised area helps promote circulation and removal of dead blood under the skin.

My PCP who cared for me after my return from Mexico where I had my plastics done, highly advised me NOT to take these supplements.  He said it would be best since there have been a rare incidence of patients having bleeding problems related to these supplements following plastic surgery.

I didn't take either one.  I ate a lot of pineapple, daily, actually - which contains bromelain and I had very little bruising.  In fact, my face at 10 days post neck and eye lid lift had almost no bruising.  I also had no bruising from my lipo and my other body work.
