Next Mon July 9th!!!
Hi All!
Next Monday is my turn I am having LBL, BL and AL. I made my final payments today and there's no turning back now. I am scared and excited at the same time. I think the scariest part so far has been signing those damn consents and preparing my living will. Although we all hope for the best we need to prepare for the worst. I am past my anxiety of the worst and looking forward to life without this skin "suit" over me. I love feeling the muscles when lying down....I work hard to get them. But when I stand up I can't see the hard work that I put in! It's very frustrating!
Reality ha**** my husband as well. I am 3 years post-op and have been researching this for 2 yrs. When I told him I was finally ready, he dismissed it. When I told him I booked the date, he dismissed it and still didn't take me seriously. These past 2 weeks I've been running around getting all of my pre-op testing done and checking off my to-do lists...I guess seeing this gave him a reality check. So he's been saying things like: You know u don't really need to do this....you look fine...I'm the only one who sees you naked and I think you look fine. Compliments have been coming left and right and I find it so funny! I told him I am not doing it for him, I am doing it for me! He doesn't get it. I have given every last penny to my family for the last 20 years and this is the first time that I am spending a considerable amount of $$$ on myself. I work hard! I deserve this! I want to see the REAL results!! I hate looking like a dried up PRUNE!! LOL
Anyway, sorry to ramble. Wish me luck!! Thank you all for the great advice that I have read!!!

It still sounds like hubby will still be there by your side.
Keep positive and maybe up your protein and add zinc for healing.
Buy a magazine or book for after the surgery. Prepare your meds/supplements and other sundry items in nearby locations (recliner/nightstand).
You can and will do this, your Plastics, for YOU. You are worth it and deserve it.

Alex,
I am so happy for you!!! Both for the surgery and for realizing that you are
worth it. And yes you are beautiful now and you will still be beautiful after.
Just less of the jiggly you.
I wish you a safe and quick recovery.

Hi Alex:
Wishing you the best of luck and a really speedy recovery. Your husband will love the results once you fully recover. The lift recliner was the best investment for me in my recovery. I rented one from Rent a center and it was a life saver. I borrowed a walker from a friend for the first couple of days and a raise toliet seat is a must. Like Mikimi said, up your protein now and take your vitamins after surgery.
