What is comfortable to wear post op?

I will be having a fleur-d-lis tummy tuck, belt lipectomy, breast lift and augmentation and brachioplasty on July 17th. Not sure what I'm going to need for clothing during recovery. They said loose clothes but wondering with the vertical incision and arm and breast work am I going to want things that button in front. How is a waist band going to feel? Has anyone else had this work done all at once and what did you wear for the first month or so post -op. Surgeon expects me to have drains for at least 10 days.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice you can give me.

Yoga pants and loose shorts with pockets to put your drains. I purchased a lot of maxi dresses preop thinking they would be easier but they are not. Button up shirts are the best with the brachioplasty. LARGE pull overs are doable but not the easiest with drains.

3 weeks out from a Panni --  I wore  and still wear a lot of house / sundress's  zip down  worked the best.... check kohls and walmartv-- you want soft !!!  I also used wife beater t shirts and . pj pants, grany panties - that dont sit on my incission.  and a good panty girdle / support --- the binders suck !!!

get safty pins  to pin your drains up ...  Ice packs to help ease the comfort... a recliner to sleep eat and  do everything else in....

you need a good sports bra

let us know how your doing

Think loose and big. Cotton was best for me. I had these cotton
strechy shorts and wore those. I used tiny bikini panties, cause
they sat below the drains. I only wore shorts and panties due to
the fact I had my period just before surgery. Otherwise I would
have been naky. My compression top for my arms covered my
breast like a bolero jacket so I didn't wear a top for about 2 weeks.
Just used a sheet to cover myself.
When I went back to work. I was lucky. I wear scrubs and a lab
jacket. Big and comfy. I could hid a machine gun under that jacket.

Get a back scratcher!! And dont forget bendy straws and chapstick.
And ready to drink protien drinks. They saved my life.

Good luck

I had extended tummy and brachio 5 wks ago. Nothing bothered my belly incision because it was numb and the binder covered it. I wore a lot of pajama pants and shorts the first week, once I was going out I switched to soft stretchy waisted shorts. For tops I just wore big t shirts, I even bought a pack of mens undershirts to have extra. I had help dressing for a few days then could manage on my own. I just carefully put my arms in first, then head. Not sure I could have managed buttons. I got a lanyard to hook the drains on for showering, otherwise when home I pinned them to my binder. I found the binder to be comfortable. After a few days I started wearing camisoles from Costco under the binder because my skin was so sensitive. I had 2 drains for 2 wks, when I would go out I put one in each side of my bra, there was plenty of room because they have shrunk so much. By about 3 weeks I was wearing my regular shorts from the gap, by 4 weeks they were too big and I bought the same shorts in a smaller size. Surprisingly I haven't had too much pain at all, just hard to get comfortable. Best of luck!

I am a week out and have been living in loose, stretchy sundresses...

I had lower body lift and breast lift and augmentation and all I wore is loose big sweats and snap front shirts!  I started wearing my regular clothes a week out since my drains came out.  Some of my pants I could not wear because I was so swollen.

I had larger sweats and pj bottoms.  XL tees... I did wear small thin little cotton tops over my bra/arm garment and under my abdominal garment.  Lanyard works great while showering with all the alien babies, then clip to your garments.   That's all I wore for a week in the clinic... once at the hotel, I had 3 very soft terry cloth pants and oversized shirts.  I was in my garments for almost 3 mo.

Loose and comfortable and easy to get on and off.  Yoga pants once I started back to work.  Took 3 mo before I could wear my jeans.  Too much pressure on the scars.  I did take mens boxers with 2 front snaps that I could put the drains through and then clip to my waist band.

I wore yoga pants for weeks!  Very comfy.  I had the TT with back lipo done..so don't know about the arms or boobs..but I would think anything very lose fitting would work.  I was in a nightshirt for the first week...nothing more!
good luck to you...it is so worth it!
