Warning...Design Veronique shapers run VERY small!!

If you plan on ordering from designveronique.com, make sure to definitely go up a size... if not 2.  Lee warned me that they run small,  so I ordered the XL. My measurements (swollen after surgery) put me between the L and XL. Unfortunately, the XL isn't big enough.  :(  I need at least the double X. I almost ordered that size after Lee's warning that these garments run small, but I just couldn't see ordering one with measurements that differ that much from my own. Oh well... you live and you learn. I am also super tall, so I know that sometimes products fit my body differently than others.  I tried the garment on following their instructions and didn't soil it in any way(they are VERY specific about that).  I am returning it tomorrow for a refund. I just wanted to reiterate the point that their garments run TIGHT. (It was a nonzip garment by the way. I think the zippered ones are a bit looser according to their website).  I could definitely see how their garments would be great for post-op care and would love to order another size, but I don't want to deal with the hassle of it possibly not fitting and having to wait for another charge to go back to my credit card. Instead, I think I am going to just get some of those footless shapers from assets and put that under my current flexees garment that goes to the knee.  The footless shaper will keep the flexees from riding up over my incision on my thigh.  Fingers crossed that this works :).  Just wanted to warn everyone that Design Veronique body shapers run SUPER small (at least the non zip ones, that is). Thanks for the warning Lee... wish I would have listened a little more carefully :)

They do run so small. Dr. Sauceda provided me with two sets of garments. He had me try one on the night before surgery so that he would know my size.

I am 5'4" and had my plastics at 150, size 10 jeans.  He put me in the XL garment that goes from below my breast to my calves with zippers up both sides.  It got looser as the swelling went down.

I'm so sorry they didn't work or you. They really are great compression.

Thats awesome that you were able to try it on before getting one.  I am 6'2" and 184, but my measurements were between the L and XL.  Yeah...that XL fit, but it was WAY tight and didn't come up as high as I would have liked.  I felt like a sausage... haha!  I am also pretty early out in my surgery so that didn't help the discomfort, I'm sure.

I bet they are amazing compression wear if they fit correctly.  They are very , very well made and they give tons of compression.

Oh well, its ok.  I'm hoping my flexees will work enough. My surgeon isn't big on compression, so he didn't give me any.  He kinda just told me to wear compression if it felt right and not if it didn't .  I didn't use any with my first surgery and I love the way my arms turned out.  I did use some with my second and love how my stomach turned out too.  I think the compression helped me a lot because the results were able to be seen faster.  It also gave support to that area when I couched or sneezed.  I think I will prefer compression with this last go round, my thighs...

Honey, which garment did you order? I am going to be buying another full body for my surgery in January and I will need that size! I know their return policy is very strict! I would be more than happy to buy it from you! Just pm me with the info and I can see if it is the one I will need! Sorry, it didn't work for you!

Edit: if they accept your return, that is even better for you. I know my arm garment wasn't soiled but they refused it!

Hi,  I bought the non zippered full body girdle in an XL.  I sent it off this morning before I saw this.  Please let me know if you would still like to purchase it if they don't accept it.  I thoroughly  inspected it myself and saw no marks of any kind on it.  I took a bath prior to trying it on and wore panty hose and put gauze over the incisions while trying it on.  I can't imagine there would be any way they wouldn't take it back :(.  What did they tell you when they rejected your garment?  Did they just mail it back to you? Thanks so much for all of your input with this!! I a already self pay for my surgeries and these little additional things really are breaking the bank :(, I am really hoping they refund my money!!
