Exercising after LBL

I exercised once sometimes twice daily prior to my LBL. My doc cleared me at 4 weeks out to do whatever exercises I want. I started by speed walking and I've work my way up to a run some speedwalk some for about an hour. My stomach feels fine but my butt feels like it i****ting cement when I run. Has anyone experienced this?
Also, would running and the up/down movement make my scar on my butt stretch wider?
Oh and I'm exercising in my compression garment or spanx.
