Seroma??

I know this question probably gets asked a ton and I did search for it on here but just thought I'd also ask... What does it look/feel like.  2 weeks ago I got my 2nd and final tube removed and even then it was outputting about 25 ml's (or is it cc's?)  but it was coming up on a month in so he wanted it out.  It didn't drain or anything from the small incision and it closed up within a day and is a little scar now.  this week I've been more swollen and below my belly button and above the scar line is so puffy and when i touch it i can feel water like swishing around.  it doesn't hurt but last night was a long day and i got home and was SO swollen.  my binder is not sticking anymore but it feels good to have it on tight but the Velcro is shot on it so it doesn't stay tight.

My next appointment is July 2nd - not sure if I should go in sooner or wait to see if it goes down... and settle down for once - I've been on the go every weekend and it's been so hot where i live.  i haven't been lifting or anything - just doing and moving so much... i know I've been overdoing it.

Opinions - thanks!

Sounds like a seroma to me. Each Dr is different, some like to see if it will go away on it's own, others will drain it, which can lead to infection. I would probably call and let the Dr make the call about whether to have you come in earlier or not. Draining it is not so bad. Depending on the amount of fluid it doesn't even hurt. Good luck!!

Awwww...I sure hope it's not a seroma. Being that I still have two drains in place, I can understand how happy you were to get yours out, and, how dissappointed you are that this could possibly be a seroma. I don't know anything about them, but my doctor said that when a person has one, they have them come in once a week to have it drained until it's no longer a problem. Hope it's a false alarm for you, though.

When my garment got loose, I folded a clean wash cloth and tucked it between my tummy and the garment. It helped a lot.

I would call your surgeon about the seroma.

I haven't called the dr, I'm kind waiting to see if it'll go down over the weekend.  I'm going to do nothing for the 1st time in a month.  It hasn't gotten worse and has gone down a little.

Very good idea on the towel if the binder is loose!  I'm gonna try that
