brachioplasty and frankentits and pill theft, oh my!

I feel GREAT!!!

The arms have been an absolute piece of cake. Compared to the TT and BL/BA, the brachiplasty is nothing! I took one vicodin right after I got home last night from the surgical center, and haven't needed anything since. Not even tylenol. I have zero pain in the right arm, and a bit of stinging in the left armpit, where the PS put in internal sutures to hold my left implant in position.

I sleep in a recliner with my arms propped up on pillows and thick socks on my hands because my fingers get cold. I can raise my arms almost to shoulder level but it gets a little tight and sore if I go farther. I did not have any liposuction, so I'm sure that I'd have more pain if that had been the case.

I also had a revision on my left breast, to move the implant back into position (it had migrated towards my armpit). There's some minor soreness, but nothing bad. HOWEVER, my implant now has to drop all over again! So I have one normal breast and one breast that looks like it's trying to climb up onto my *****ind of hilarious looking. I'll take a pic later and post it in my album. I look in the mirror and giggle because Frankentits are back.

One little bump in the road: I had hired an ex-classmate who works as a medical assistant to spend the night with me the first night at home. While I was asleep she stole 25 pills of vicodin and 10 valium. She took some of them, and in the morning instead of her taking care of me, I had to struggle for an hour to wake her up by jabbing her repeatedly with my foot. She was higher than a kite. I confronted her and said "I know you took my pills, you need to give them back and leave." She was slurring her words and not making much sense. Her pupils were pin*****s. She gave me back 10 vicodin and a few valium and left on the nearest bus. I couldn't believe it. Shocked!!! Then she had the gall to call and ask to be paid for her time with me. I told her I wouldn't call the police, that was her payment. I don't have the energy to deal with police enforcement right now while I'm recovering.

I'm not going to let it ruin things though. I learned a lesson. I guess you have to watch out because people you think you knew can turn out to have issues of their own. I think in her heart she's a good woman with an ugly addiction, and I told her she needed to get help. I guess I gotta stick with family and close friends from now on. Or hide all of my meds except for what I'll need at one time.

I'm thankful that that has been the only complication so far.

Tomorrow I can take the bandages off to shower, will take pics then!

Friend of mine that had an LBL/thighplasty done had to keep her hydrocodone pills in her pillow case because her adult daughter had abuse issues.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

I'm SO jealous of people who have had arms done! I'm also SO happy for you that you have had your arms done! I'm glad to hear that your recovery is going well. Sorry you had to take care of yourself. I just don't get the painkiller addiction thing. Those things make me SO sick. I don't know how in the world people get addicted to them. Sound like you handled the situation VERY well.

I know that even though you are being a great sport about the wandering implant, it must also be very frustrating to still be having issues with it after a revision. I hope they can get it to stay put soon. When I was in Costa Rica for a facelift, there was a lady who was in tears every single day because of an implant that kept getting infected or her body was rejecting it. Her doctor (she had a different doctor that I did) kept taking it out, sterilizing the implant and the capsule, and reimplanting, but after several tries, it was still giving her problems. I had to leave before she did, so not sure what happend in the end. I'm just glad that you are able to laugh about your situation right now, and I'm sure you'll find a way to get it resolved very soon.

Thanks for the info on the arm lift recovery. Can't wait to see pictures!

Lizzy:

That is great news on the arms.  I can't wait until I can get mine done.  Sorry about the theft.  It is hard to trust anybody these days.  If we can't laugh at some of our plastic surgery then we would all be crying at some point.  Take care.

I'm so sorry you went through that with someone who was supposed to be helping you!  She's very lucky you didn't call the police.

Take care of yourself!

I am glad you are doing well. I am sorry you had to deal with someone stealing your meds. How ridiculous.

Arms were my favorite surgery by far. It made the biggest difference since I could hide everything else with shapewear.

Sorry about your ex-classmate. Wow is all I can say!!

Happy healing!!
