PICTURES!
Thanks for the password. You look absolutely AMAZING!! I can't even believe what a huge difference you have. I'm SO jealous of people who have gotten arms done. I was hoping I'd be finished after I did my face and my tummy, but I can tell that I'm going to have to do my arms and a breast lift, too. Thanks for posting your photos. They really do help those of us who are considering surgery. I hope your healing continues to go well. I'm headed to the doc tomorrow and hoping I get these stupid drains out!
You're very welcome! Good luck with your drains, through this evening, I am seeing now why people get irritated with them. I think by Friday I'll be praying my doc takes mine out too! Prolly just the right one though. With my arms, I know the scar is horrible, but I figured hey, I don't walk around with my hands in the air, at least they will have a normal shape and I won't have to be self conscious of that part! I'm hoping next summer when I'm finally back into swimsuit season that (though I have never had one) a spray tan might help to conceal the look a little? Dunno if a spray tan will tan scars though. I guess that's just more research!!
I bet they will heal up a lot better than you are expecting, but it will probably take a year or so for all of the redness to leave. Be sure to keep the sunlight off of them, because the sun will cause your scars to raise and/or darken.
Google "Scar Camoflauge", and look at some photos of that. Permanent makeup tattoo artists can blend away scars by tattooing them to make them the same color as the surrounding skin. I've never seen arms done that way, but I've seen it done for facelift scars, so I bet it would work for arms. I'll have to do a few searches and see if I can find anyone who had arms tattooed. I bet most people don't even worry about it because the arm scars usually end up fading away on their own.
