Picture of my new tummy...
Recovery for me was not at all painful (except for the stupid drains that feel like someone's pulling out pubic hair with tweezers every time I move, lol). I expected the pain to be much worse. I have had two c sections, and they were more painful than this, for sure. I have not used a lift chair, and have had no problem getting up and down.
I hope your surgery and recovery goes as well as mine has. The only problem that I had after surgery was that I got nauseous when they sat the head of my bed up. They were already using Phenergan, but it was not helping. They gave me some Ativan in my IV, and it almost instantly cured my nausea, and I was able to get up and walk to the bathroom after that. The hospital where I had surgery requires patients to pee before they leave, lol, and that was the most difficult part for me. I was supposed to get out at two, but it was almost eight when I finally got out of there. Other than that, everything went well.
Take you pain meds as directed to stay on top of the pain, and you won't ever feel any. I was off all prescription pain meds by day four. My doctor prescribes muscle relaxers, and I think they helped a LOT with an spasms and muscle pain. I have not had any at all.
Anyway, I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday. Let us know how it goes once you feel up to getting online.

Heidi, are you saying that wearing a wide belt early on while still healing actually helped your waistline to shape more of a waist, or just that a belt gives the illusion of more of a waist? I guess if you are still healing, and use a wide belt as an extra "binder", it might actually help form a waistline?
I debated getting some lipo, but figured at my age, that would be too obsessive. I've also had major problems in the past with local anesthesia, and did not want to risk having a problem with it since they use so much during lipo. I ordered some of those Victoria Secrets padded bras, and when I put those on, my waist looks much smaller, lol. I'll try the belt, for sure. I've never worn belts, and never wear stuff tucked in because of my fat belly. Can't wait to try belts and tucking once these darned drains are out. Keeping my fingers crossed for removal tomorrow. Thanks!

You look fantastic!!!! I am so envious LOL!!! I have been following everyone on the PS board as I wait to see if my insurance will cover a TT for me. They require 6 months of rashes etc. for medical neccesity. Right now I am on month 3 of my doc visits for documentation. Even if they approve me in Sept though I will probably have to wait for next summer because I am a teacher. I am 3 years out from RNY and have lost 120 pounds. I can't wait to get rid of this hanging skin!! I also need a breast lift, arms, and probably thighs too. I'm thinking of looking into a residents program to get the rest done.
I'm hoping for you that those yucky drains come out soon!
Best wishes,
Kathy
