Looking for a recommendation for PS in Michigan
Wondering if anyone has had any experience with Star Plastic Surgery or Cosmetic Plastic Surgery of Michigan? I've had several procedures, TT, BA and Aug,. brachioplasty..all successful with Dr. DiNick. I'm ready to attach the lower body now and due to the expense, I'm investigating other options. I would appreciate any input!
I used Dr DiNick too and have loved his work. After my TT I went back for the BL/BA - only because I knew of his work and felt more comfortable going into it, what the results would be. I was living in Traverse City at the time, and did get a price from a local surgeon. Prices were comparable, but again, I knew what to expect from Dr DiNick's work - and I didn't with the other guy. It was a "peace of mind" thing.
It never hurts to talk to others though. Sorry I can't help otherwise - good luck!

I also had a TT and this past weekend, a BL/BA with Dr. DiNick. I had a consult with Star but they wouldn't give me a quote without providing a $500 deposit to secure an appointment with them. I was not comfortable with that at all and the lady I spoke with made me feel the prices for BL/BA were actually higher than Dr. DiNick's. Good luck to you!
Two of the doctors from Star now have a practice out of St. Mary's in Livonia. Dr. Galloway and Dr. Flagg. I got a free consultation with them. They both seemed very nice. Dr. Galloway has many years of experience, although I can't find a lot about him on this site or the internet in general. For a tummy tuck, brest lift and lower eye lift it was under $9,000. This includes an overnight stay in St. Mary's hospital and aftercare.
I did see Dr. Dinick and although I like the pictures he has on his website, I did not like him. He seemed very full of himself and his "assistant" laughed when I asked about his qualifcations and said "do you know who you are talking to?" He seemed very offended that I would question his backgroud and qualification to do my surgery. I never did get a price, but a bill came about a year later for the visit. I was told it would be covered by insurance. The other thing I didn't like about Dr. Dinick was that he does not do his surgeries in a real hospital. At most you go to a "hospital" that is only for PS. I feel better about a hospital that can handle other emergencies coming up.
