Day 4
I am on my phone so please excuse the typos lol. Today is day 4. I had the arms, tt, lipo fat transfer to rear and 3 hernia repaired. I have two drains. One stopped working this morning /overnight woke up wet.. I guess the line got clogged because once we stripped it down and emptied the bulb it is working again and no more leakage. It freaked me out! Been able lay on my love seat today instead of just the recliner.. Was so nice! Tons of pillows are a must. Also a toilet seat riser has been so helpful. No problems with constipation because I started senacot s a few days before. Thanks to a suggestion from a friend here..my arms leaked a little on day 2.they don't really hurt just feel super tight. I have a pain pump and it's helped a lot with the tt pain. Finding it hard to eat but making myself do it.. My butt and sides are sore from the lipo and transfer.. Really wanted to thank everyone here for the wealth of information and prayers, positive thoughts.. More to follow
Congratulations on getting your surgeries done! I've been reading your posts for months, but did not even realize that you had completed your surgery. I had my tummy tuck on June 7th, and am doing great, but I can't imagine having all that you had done in one surgery. I know it will be nice once you are healed, though, to have gotten it all over with at once.
I'm having trouble with a leaking drain, too, but it's been that way since I left the hospital, so it must be a problem below the incision site. I've been stripping the line, but no luck in getting it going.
Well, feel better soon. I'm so glad to know that you have finally completed your surgery and are finally on the recovery side.

I live in Alabama, but we are the same distance to Mobile, or to Pensacola, and I prefer doing medical stuff (and shopping) in Pensacola so I always go there.
I think the only downfall to this tummy tuck thing is that I have not yet been able to see my new tummy or new belly button. It will be Tuesday during my first followup. Have you seen yours yet?

Wow - congratulations! You've been through a lot. Are you able to tell yet if the results are what you hoped for? (I know it may be hard to tell with the swelling and bandages etc.)
I would have freaked out waking up "wet" from the drain! So glad that you were able to fix it yourself!

Glad to hear that overall you're doing well so early out!
You may have to supplement with protein shakes your first couple of weeks out. I still am drinking about 2 a day. I basically lived off of them the first couple of weeks after my BR & ext TT because I just didn't have any appetite and also my pouch seemed smaller than normal, but I knew I needed my protein.
Just keep following the Dr's orders, getting in your protein and keeping your other liquids up too :).
