Home from my Tummy Tuck...

Wow, Chris...great suggestion! I thought about the pads, but I did not think about cutting around them for the line to fit through. Thankfully, the line seems to have cleared, and no leaking today. I worked hard at clearing it out where it goes into the skin, and guess that worked.

I have two drains, and they are both just barely above the mons, so not sure if they are "mons" drains or if they go somewhere else. I did not have a lot of skin removed, really, so not sure if that determines how many drains a person gets. She did tell me before surgery that she would lift the mons area for me.

I know that the incisions go pretty far around the hip to the back. Maybe slightly more than a typical extended tummy tuck, I guess. I'm just going on where the dried blood under my bandaged area starts. Guess I'll see tomorrow. I was hoping she's go as far as she could to help any flab on my hips, and it looks like she did that. Since my TT was only 5500, I feel like I got a bargain for all of the work that she had to do, and considering that it was done in a hospital setting. I was able to put the hospital fees portion on my Flexible spending card, which made this whole thing super cheap when I considered the alternatives. My Flex spend card said "All hospital related fees" are covered expenses (with no exclusions listed), so I did not feel bad about using it. Using a doctor that does surgery in a hospital setting saved me a bundle!
