Well...there are sites like the one at this link where a person can post a need and strangers donate. Might be hard to convince people that cosmetic or reconstructive surgery is as important as some of the other people's stories, though. Interesting concept, though. Maybe they could add a section similar to this on OH where people could donate a few bucks here and there to help people who need surgery (like to a Paypal account or something)...

a chick I know from another website posted on FB that she needed PS ( insert sad story here) because of lifelong emotional struggle yada yada.... posted her ebay account & BOOM!! surgery a few weeks later

 Wow, that's pretty amazing, but you're right. Lots and lots of gall...

I've opted to sell Gold Canyon candles. Not a quick fix, but it'll give me some good social interaction that I really crave as a SAHM. However, just asking people to book parties I feel desperate lol. If any of you have ever had luck selling with home parties what were the *keywords* you used to get people to book shows? I.E. "I have some really exciting products to show you", "book an open house and get a free gift"?? Looking for any tips to help me get started and earning.
