Anyone have any luck getting their procedure covered by insurance?
I am down about 100lbs by the scale. During the 4 years I have been post surgery I have had another baby which reeked even more havok on my tummy.
I am in desperate need of an arm lift and thigh lift if nothing else!
I have done everything I can to try to remedy the situation on my own and unfortunately it has done nothing.
The excess skin is causing all kinds of redness, skin rashes, infections, etc. It is very painful. I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with any insurance paying for a procedure you could prove was medically necessary. And if so, can u please give me the name of a doc that would go through the hoops to help me out!
Thank you so much! I am running into brick wall after brick wall trying to figure this out on my own.

I live in Israel but I have been lurking reading and posting here for about a year now so although I don't live in the States I might be able to advise you. I fought my Israeli HMO appealed and won for my Plastics.
That being said, get a hold of your medical insurance policy and read carefully its wording under "cosmetic plastics". You might be surprised that you might be entitled to something. Document by your GP/PCP/Skin doc all these rashes and how that don't heal totally or recur shortly after stopping with the creams. I think pictures of the rashes and document letters sent to the insurance will likely help.
No guarantee.
I suggest you post which insurance you use and others can advise you.
I hope I've been somewhat helpful.
