Belly Button Pain after Panniculectomy

Hello all!

I am almost 6 months post op from having a Panniculectomy....12lbs of apron removed.  I have felt great up until about a week ago, I started having drainage & odor from my belly button....pretty embarrassing, I know.  I am scheduled for a breast reduction & prolapse surgery July 13.  Should I be too worried about the belly button pain?  Not sure if I should be seen now or just continue what I'm doing (q tip & soap cleaning****il my surgery.
The pain is like a dull toothache....tolerable, but it's there.  However, today seems to be a little more of a "tugging" pain and starting to get uncomfortable.  I have a sit down job which means when I'm in a "sitting" position, more pressure seems to be in that area.

Any thoughts??

I would have a doc look at it or you take a pic and email to your PS.
My concern is not just your discomfort/pain but the discharge.

Thanks for your reply!!

I called the PS & spoke with the nurse on Friday, and she said it could possibly be a suture that did not completely dissolve & is exposed...possible abcess....the bottom of my belly button may not have healed "closed", etc.  She said if it got worse & concerned me to call & they would take a look.  I can fit my entire pinky in my "new" belly button!  lol
Sounds crazy, right??

Call and go in.  That's why you paid them the big bucks.
