Has anyone dealt with outer thigh pain/burning after their tummy tuck.  I don't know if it is the nerves coming back alive in my thighs or if I have slept on the couch so long that I have created soreness in my left thigh but it hurts alot.  I have been using a heating pad on it and taking tylenol again.  Any thoughts?

I havent had that at all and Im almost 3 weeks out- I would call my surgeon just to be safe
I have mine on speed dial and anything that I have felt that didnt feel "right" Ive called him about it!
Needless to say Ive become a pest!
Other than that, how are you? Im walking upright, still have 1 drain in and got my staples out today!
Next week come the sutures! Woo-Hoo!

Weird, just had my 2-week appt today and I actually asked about just noticing upper, outer thigh pain in the last day or two. The nurses said it could partially be because he lifted that area a little during the ext. TT and also from walking hunched for 2 weeks. I don't think I've noticed burning, just really really sore. I did have burning for the first 7-10 days in my love handles though which I was told was normal. But definitely call your doctor if you're concerned!

Tess,
The worst pain that i had after my tummy tuck was in my right thigh.

Mine was right above my knee, and I believe that it was pain from a nerve bundle that got irritated by my pain pump.

It felt like a knife in my leg every time I bent,y knee for about 2 weeks.

I was advised to take Advil or Naproxen. I doubled up on my omeprozole for a few days and took some naproxen and it calmed down considerably

If you're concerned - always call/email your PS.
Nerves or numbness are common and we are tol this "complication" could happen. My TT was August 2011 and at times I get weird sensations in/on my left thigh at the pelvic region.
Wishing you continued Health!

I talked with doctor and he said to try to sleep on opposite side of where I am sleeping to relieve some of the pressure off that thigh.  Nerves are definitely coming back around and getting my attention quickly.  Thanks for all the thoughts.
