How Long

 How long did you wait for insurance to approve or deny your ps? My doctor submitted preauthorization after our appt. That was 6 weeks ago. Is it normal to wait so long? I am going to do the procedure even if I have to pay for it, but the waiting in limbo is stressful. 

Is there anything I can or should be doing? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.  

 Call your insurance company and ask them about the status of your surgeons preapproval request. My surgeons office kept telling me "no news is good news" but when I called the insurance company it turns out surgeons office sent everything to the wrong address and we were waiting on nothing.

 Thank you for the advice. It seems the dr. turned it in a little later than they told me. I called insurance today and the lady couldn't tell me for sure but she thinks 2 of 3 procedures are approved. Woooohooooooo!!! Praying and praying this is true.
