Scared, Nervous, Excited you name it!
I was and am so excited to be having reconstructive surgery however,
I really didn't think this through to the point of compression
garments after surgery in the middle of summer. I know that come July
I am gonna be sitting at work having a compression induced hot flash and
saying to myself, "what were you thinking"?
That being said I think I will add on to the list of things I will need after
surgery,
1. small fan for my desk at work.
June is traditionaly a wedding month. Meaning new beginnings, new life.
I am raising my cup to all my fellow June surgeries.
"may we be blessed with a healthy, talented surgeon and nurses. All of whom
are perfectionist. May we be blessed with an easy recovery, good meds,
great post op care from loved ones. May we be blessed with great
results."
Please feel free to add anything to my toast Lets raise the energy level for
our surgeries. Positive outcomes!
Healthy outcomes sent everyones way

i had my TT on may 11th and im doing well. my surgeon will not do any other procedures with the TT due to the risk of infection (he is a newer PS). my bggest fear was the drains.....one of them came out today and hopefully the second next week. my best advice to anyone is try to walk as much as you can before surgery and build up those leg muscles, cuz that really helps!
Your feelings are totally normal! I had all of those too..but more excited than anything. Keep your eye on the prize and focus on that new body of yours! No pain , no gain..(or rather loss!)
Other than getting my sleeve, this was the best thing that I have ever done for myself. It was a tough week so be prepared...but so worth it! Thrilled that I did it.
good luck to you and we are all here for you.
hugs
Patty
