I had a LBL w/butt enhancement with  my own tissue and lipo for fat transfer in booty., on 5/10. Besides my booty still very painful and hard to sit on..sitll  take some pain meds. for it.  My legs and feet are so swollen.  I do wrap them and elevate them.  They get very painful to go walking for to long.  Has anyone else experienced this and for how long should I expect it to last.  Spoke to Dr. last week he said elevate & wrap them. I did ask for a water pill he said not necessary.  Didn't have any problems with any other surgery in the past.

Had GBS March 09 - lost 95 lbs.

Thanks for any help.

The collateral circulation with the lower limbs can be very tricky.  I had my thigh lift and butt augmentation  and LBL a year ago today and I still have a lot of leg swelling.  I do take Lasix and Potassium weekly when things get too bad.

I wore a full body compression garment that had more consistent compression.   I bought it on www.designveronique.com.  My surgeon gave me two of them and I bought another two.  I felt the full body - more consistent compression helped a lot.

Thank you so much it took my breath away. I didn't know that was a complication.  I hope not they hurt so bad.  Do you have swelling everyday or just on occasion.

I had a lbl with buttock auto-augmentation 11 months ago. I never had any issues with my legs. Make sure you are getting up every couple of hours to keep the circulation going. If it persists, go see your doctor!!

Laura,

Thanks you so  much for your response!! It made me feel better.  Yes I am up a lot - can't sit to long with booty enhancement. With your buttock augmentation how long before it was comfortable.  Mine is still hard and numb getting better but there are times sitting is impossible, the only reason I sometimes still take 1/2 a precoset.

Good luck with eveything & thanks again!

I had my corsettrunkplasty and thigh lipo 1 1/2 weeks ago, and at my 1 week post op, they said leg /feet swelling is normal after any surgery.  Mine are swollen beyond belief,  i was wearing the comp stockings, but they were so tight they were cutting off circulation so doc said to take em off and elevate, and drink a lot.  I am also on lasix to help get the extra fluid flushed thru.

Hi dommiepa,

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.  I did get the compression Knee highs and they are working as well as increased my water intake, walk and elevate.  All is working.  I hope your recovery is going well.

All the best & thanks again,
Carmella

I had a LBL with a lot of lipo, etc. on my  butt and saddle bags......

As already stated, the full compressions garment was helpful.  My ankles and calves were swollen and I had never experienced that before so of course I called my surgeon who rcommended compression socks....THEY HELPED!  I bought compressions stockings and put then on my compressions garment (although hot) it helped a lot when I was up and walking, then when I elevated my feet they went down quickly.

Best of luck.  Remember walking is as important as elevating.  Also, I had read that pineapple helps with swelling.  Maybe not true, but I know that I ate a LOT of pineapple.  Arnica Montana was also very helpful to me.

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

Hi Amy,

I did get compression knee highs & I have increased my water intake, walking and I do elevate when possible.  This morning they were almost perfect!!!   I was thrilled!  I do like pineapple so it can't hurt to try.

Thank you again,
Carmella

I had a LBL on 5/15. My feet were so swollen my shoes didn't fit anymore. I concur with everyone else... Compression socks. They helped a lot. I also increased my water intake and made sure I was eating a low sodium diet.
