Compression gear for thighs. Can't believe my last surgery is finally almost here!!!

Went in for my FINAL pre-op appointment today. Yay! I can't believe that my 3rd and final surgery will be here in 3 weeks! I am so ready to be done with these surgeries.  I really can't complain though.  I have an amazing surgeon and have had incredible results so far.

I was wondering what kinds of compression garments those of you who had thigh lifts used.  What brands were they and what garments worked best with swelling?  Also, I am 3 months post op from my LBL and still wearing spanx for minimal compression.  Is there any compression gear that will work for both that area and my thighs?

Designveronique for my garments!  The doctor gave me 2 - full body for my LBL/Anchor TT/Extended Thigh Lift.  I bought 2 on my own that went to my ankles, they really helped with the swelling and it was easy on and easy off with the zippers on each side.  Also had a nice crotch opening for potty-time!  A little expensive, but I wore it everyday for 6 months, 24/7.  Now I wear it when I work out!

Thanks for the info!! Those look nice.  Do they run true to size?

I have the same garments from designveronique.  I don't think they run true to size at all.

I am 5'4" and was 151.5, size 10 jeans on the day of my surgery.  My two sets of garments are size XL.  If they were smaller, I would have been squished to death!

Southernbelle, best wishes for a great recovery from your last surgery.

I was wondering if you would be willing to share how you lost so much weight in so little time.

I am trying to lose the rest of the weight so I can have plastics in late December of January because my daughter is getting married in July 2013.

Thanks in advance,
Joan

 Hi Joan,
I am sorry I am just seeing this post!  Thanks so much for your kind words! I basically lost all of the weight by calorie counting and walking. I started by restricting my calorie intake to 1800 calories a day and as the pounds fell off, I lowered that #.  I ended up losing the majority of the weight consuming between 1200 and 1400 calories a day.  My rules for myself were that I would try to stay between those #s but if I needed to eat more that was ok, but I NEVER could eat more than 2000 or less than 1000. I only allowed planned "cheat days" on Thanksgiving, Christmas, my birthday and Easter. Other than that I didn't have one single other cheat day for a year and a half.  I work best if I set my mind to do something and never veer off the course with it.  Of course, the calorie amounts differ for everyone.  I am 6'2"... so I require a lot more calories than most women.  Those calorie amounts created a large enough deficit for me.  GOOD LUCK!!!!! You can do it! It is so worth the sacrifice to be healthy and happy :)
