Should I buy another compression garment?

Looking for advice... Had LBL Tuesday, was able to shower today do I rinsed out my stage 1 compression garment - marena brand.  It took hours to dry, almost 4, even with it hanging in front of a fan(my p.s. advised against using the dryer because it shrinks). I am super swollen now from having the garment off for so long. I went online to purchase another stage 1 to switch back and forth but its $110. Is it worth getting another one?  The doc gave me a stage 2 garment already.

Im almost debating on getting the marena garment that extends to the mid calf so it's not visible at the thigh through my dress pants.

Any words of wisdom?
I am going to have a thigh lift in September so I will be re-using them again then.

I would.  I had abdominal work done in March and ordered two so that I could rinse them every nite -  mine seemed to get odorous after one day and like you mine took long to dry.  I think two is a good idea especially since you will get to reuse them for your next surgery.

Yes, I would definitely get another.

I had a compression garment that had to be custom made before my weight loss, for lymphedema.  It's resolved now, but that is some of the thickest material I've ever seen!

Thank you everyone. I ordered another garment, hoping it gets here sooner rather than later.

Hi.  I had my TT in September 2011 and my compression garment took so long to dry too.  I used the hair dryer, opened the oven door and hung it there with the oven on...finally it was still damp so I threw it in the dryer because I was desperate to get it back on after hours of waiting for it to dry.  When I saw my plastic surgeon the next day or two I told him I would have to buy another one and he said to me.."throw it in the dryer...it won't hurt it".  I said "seriously" and he said yes.  So I did that and it worked fine...had no poblems at all.  I threw it in with towels each time.

Before I left the hospital, I asked for a second one and the nurse was more than willing to give it to me, understanding that I would need to wash them.

Mine is held by velcro, 1/2 elastic and 1/2 foam, that wraps around.  I did put mine in the washer, but not in the dryer for fear of melting the foam.

I know you already ordered one, but I would have asked the doctors office for a second one.  I will have to buy some sort of spanz for when I can stop using the binder.
