If you have the extra money - go for it!
I had Panni but talking yo "regular" people it is easier to just say TT.
I live off of Disability so I take what I can.
Good luck in this your continued journey.

Thanks for your input. Are you happy with the panni outcome? I really don't have the extra $$$$-I just lost my job. But I only want to do this one time. Thanks again.

I'm quite happy and am in awe at flatness.
I had minor complication of gangrene (I've had previous abdominal operations) and was treated with a WoundVac so part of my scars (vertical and horizontal) don't look great as some are also keloid and hypertropic.
I'm waiting on rescheduling for further Plastics (Breast Lift, revision of scars and inguinal hernia repair. I was supposed to have had my surgery this week but at my pre-op I was told that I was being bumped (after waiting for half a year!) due to emergency cases of melanomas and breast reconstruction (cancers take priority).
In summary-in my opinion anything removed is better than nothing and will be a physical relief to not have ganging belly flap-flap as you move or jelly-belly!

Thanks-you outlook is very practical. i am not looking to be a super model-I just want to be comfortable/ When I sit down I feel the skin slap against my thighs and it grosses me out. So panni left you with a flat tummy?????

Flat tummy even when sitting down -and not just laying in he'd sucking in my breath! I still have blubber on the sides of my butt and my thighs but I can wear thin pants underneath.
And maybe one day when I'm rich (yeah right!) or next year I'll fight the HMO but for nor having had Panni and appealing the HMO for boobs and scar revision I'm going to lay low until after my surgery and complete healing!

It really depends if you carry a lot of weight above your waist. If you do, you will not have a flat tummy with a panni. And some do not raise your mons pubis. Some can look very misshapen. Basically, it is just the removal of the hanging pannus. It can be unsttractive if the mons is not lifted. Be very clear with your surgeon about your expectations. My friend assumed her mons would be lifted, it was not and it literally looks like a scrotal sac now.

12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.

my insurance paid for the panni....i had the money to pay for the extra, so I did. If i didnt then I would have just done the panni and been happy, my big thing was the extra skin, so you have to make the personal choice
