Do you remember the title of the post that Dr. Lo commented on?

Dasie,

Congrats on the upcoming surgery.  I know this process, which I've just begun can be stressful and exciting at the sametime.

Question. Will your incisions in the abdominal area be horizontal vs vertical?

Also what is the recovery time your surgeon gave before going back to work with limitiations?

Thanks...

I've had multiple consultations, but I called Dr. L's office yesterday to ask the sequence of events for scheduling.  I don't have a surgery date yet, so I do not have that info.  I have high blood pressure, so I need a release to have surgery.  I've had my yearly, so I'm working on figuring out the best way to proceed where I don't have a lot of out-of-pocket expenses with my pre op testing.  I have to see my endo in Sept. for my yearly and may have her do the labs Dr. L requires.  I am a huge penny pincher.  Letting go of this $$ is like pulling teeth....which I would avoid at all costs - no pun intended.  I could not decide if I wanted my facial work done first or body, but I'm pretty certain I'll start with the body.  Then again, I may wake up next week and say the time is right now.  I began my conults last January.   I've been taking my time on this decision.

Dasie,

I'm right with you on spending the $$$ and the time taken to make such a major decision just to have such major elective surgery.

I keep comparing the out of pocket cost of this surgery to the cost of my truck, which I bought for $18,000.

You mentioned that you had multiple consultations. Could you share with me what helped you pick your surgeon and what differences were there between the surgeons ( did they recommend different procedures or just have different approaches  etc...?)
