Well, i should probably introduce myself.
My name is Safa and i am 22 years old...and FINALLY close to the weight i want to be. my highest weight was 280 when i was 14, and after years of losing and gaining weight, i finally buckeled down and now i am 160 lbs. :):):):)
Butt, now that i lost over 100 pounds...i have this skin, that i like to play with when im bored. lol

What i need to have done is everythingggg!
Lower Body Lift
Medial Thigh Lift
Arm Lift
Breast Lift
and hopefully eventually, A face lift....i started noticing small changes to my face, noticable wrikles, etc.. when i started losing more and more weight....and i honestly didnt even realize the skin changes was from losing weight until i seen people on here talking about face lifts..
So i also hope to get a full face lift eventually, but not top of my priority list, because my skin isnt that bad....yet.

The past month i have been researching board certified plastic surgeons...and i finally narrowed them down to 2. And my first consult will be on June 21, and the second will be on June 25th.
I have so many questions and concerns running through my head that i feel like my brain is going to pop open..lol
Well my main concern in cost. I applied with CareCredit, and got approved for $10,500.
I honestly didnt expect to get as much as i did...and the 2nd surgeon im going to see uses Carecredit, and another financial company..which i will also apply for when i find out the actual
cost for my surgery.

So i would like to know from everyone, your experience about prices for
LBL
Medial Thigh Lift
Arm Lift
Breast Lift
and obv some lipo

How much would these procedures cost?
i would like to get an idea for how much i am going to need.
i know one surgeon im going to see will do the LBL, and Medial thigh lift together in one surgery.

Congratulations on your weight loss. What a tremendous accomplishment! You must feel amazing... I haven't had my own surgery yet, but I am scheduled for a lower body lift, buttock augmentation (tissue transfer) and medial thigh lift on July 13th. I am in the Boston area and the original quote for those procedures was $24,000. Fortunately, my insurance covered the abdominalplasty portion, so that took about $6000 off the cost, but it's still crazy expensive. The surgeon's fees were actually not unreasonable, but the hospital costs are very, very high.

Best of luck!

 Safa,

Congratulations on your weight loss!  That is quite an accomplishment.  I wish I had WLS at your age, you have your whole life ahead of you.

The work that you want to have done is likely to cost more than the $10K loan you have.  But you do have some other options.

1) You could find a surgeon to work with and stage your procedures, priortize what you really want and get it doen over time.

2)  Look into residency programs at teaching hospitals.

3)  Look at going to Mexico.  There is an excellent surgeon there, Dr Fancisco Sauceda in Monterrey.  His fees include the hotel stay and airfare credit, and will be about (or a little above but not much) your budget.

I'm not sure.  His patients have their own group message board, you can ask over there. I'll see if I can find the link for you.

Here's the link.  If you ask over there, I'm sure one of them will help you.  His patients speak really highly of him.  I had the chance to meet him in person when he was in NYC, and would not hesitate to recomemnd him

Are you talking about Dr Sauceda? He doesn't do financing. He takes cash. You can finance on your own - many of us borrowed from our 401K's or took other loans out.

You can send him your pictures and he will tell you what he can and cannot do. He is the one to make the decision on your procedures and the cost. Each of us is charged differently depending upon what he feels needs to be done and how long it will take in the OR to achieve the result.

He's very honest and will tell you exactly what he feels will be an improvement. If you're free June 1 or 2, he is in Las Vegas doing in person consults.

Safa,

Congratulations on your elimination of 100 lbs.

The fact that your only 22 yrs old and have just gotten to this weight loss point might be a reason to wait at least a 1yr or two to give your skin time to recover.

The longer you have carried the excess weight the more of a strain it is on the skin and recovery of skin may not fully occur. Being in my forties and having spent 20 years overweight put a toll on my skin and surgery is the only answer. There are several young ladies in my support group who have lost over 100 pounds and are 3 years out from surgery and there skin has recovered much like a pregnant womens. No surgery needed.

Anyway, just a little something to think about.

Again you should be very proud of the changes you've made. Great job.

Safa,
I tend to strongly agree with KeepOn.  I have a good friend who was 23 and lost 150lbs with RNY, she waited and her face especially repaired itself.  She looked like she had, had a facelift and had not.  Her thighs and tummy also improved a lot over the 2 years after her weight loss.  Being young makes a big difference.  If you can avoid the scars and have a good result, it might be worth the wait.
