one week ago today, if I knew then what I know now
I'm so sorry you are not having a good experience. I thought the first 2-3 days kind of sucked but took myself off the hard core pain meds by day 4 (just took Tylenol instead since the pain meds made me ill feeling). I was ok after that regarding energy and pain but did suffer a terrible allergic reaction from the glue and later the surgical binder. Everyone's experiences def are different. Hang in there!

I hope it gets easier for you real soon! I totally relate to Jennifer's recollections of the exhaustion from just getting undressed, taking a shower & getting redressed! Hang in there; I promise it will get better. I'm ten weeks out & I've turned into a shopping addict because none of my old clothes fit!

I totally hear you! I had major buyers remorse that first week...it was alot tougher than I thought it would be. I had back lipo at the same time and the combination was really tough for me! however..I can tell you that my remorse went away in about another week..so hang in there. I am so thankful now that I had it done! Plastic surgery is not for the weak ones that is for sure!
everyday gets better! hang in there

Hang in there!! I am 6 weeks out today from TT with muscle work, medial thigh lift, and BL w/ implants. I was fully selfpay so did it all at once....stayed 2 nights at a "medical hotel" affiliated with the surgery center. The original plan was one night but I was in agony and knew my husband would not be able to deal with me at home unless I had an extra night of care under my belt. I don't remember much the first few days due to the medication, but it has been a VERY long haul and I have not had complications, other than a seroma on my knee two weeks ago which is not resolving.I was out of work (desk job) for 4 weeks....my PS said I would need 2!!!! and I am still working shortened days.
I am 49 years old and this has been very tough. I lost about 105 lbs with RNY am very healthy and have had 3 c-sections, hysterectomy, and knee surg in the past. This plastic surgery has been as difficult and painful as ALL of my previous surgical experiences put together....I'm not kidding...it has been very hard. But I would do it all again....I am just now starting to see the wonderful transformation of my body. Huge saggy thighs gone, tummy is flat, I have a nice shape and have gone from A cup to probably a small C.
I thought I did my research and knew what I was getting into. I work administratively in healthcare and did find an excellent doctor.....but the physical toll this has taken will not be forgotten soon! My husband has been a saint...and I had tons of sick time saved up at work as well as a flexible boss. This is so hard...but SO worth it.
Just take it one day, one hour, at a time. I was also given 5 mg of valium to take and that really helped. I stopped the oxycodone after about 1.5 weeks....and just used extra strength Tylenol after that and am still taking it. The valium helped with the abdominal spasms but I stopped that at 4 weeks as I was going back to work.
My abdomen aches by the early afternoon each day....I need to rest a lot on the weekends and each day after work...It's hard, but you're not alone.

I cannot relate to how you feel at all, I had an extended tt with muscle tightening and a neck lift at the same time, my tt was a walk in the park compared to the *****ers that were behind my ears. My tt was numb when I woke up and 6 years later I still have no feeling where the tt was done, never had any real pain just swelling and pressure. Everyone is different. But in the end nothing feels as good as a flat stomach. Nothing. No amount of pain can replace the thrill of looking in the mirror and seeing this.......
