Getting close and getting nervous it wont happen
My tt surgery is on the 17th. Things just keep on happening though that make me nervous that the surgery will not happen.
The stress level at work has sky-rocketed, they keep giving me new projects and act like I won't be gone for the rest of the month. I also had a urinary track infection last week. I finished the antibiotics, but at my pre-surgery exam yesterday, they ran another urine test to see if it was gone. I have not heard back yet. Also, at the exam, they noticed my belly button was red and iritated. One of the pitfalls of having the extra skin is that when the weather gets warmer, my belly buttons weaps more and gets crusty gunk around it. This inturn irritates the skin. They gave me topical antibiotics for it in hopes that it will be better before surgery. They also decided that they needed to run a blood test to see if I was anemic. I have not been anemic since I had my IUD put in, so not sure where this is coming from.
My fear is that they day before surgery they will call and cancel.
Anyone had any similar issues?

Hi Trish:
I had my pre-op tests yesterday too. Just try to think positive that everything will be okay and nothing will interfere with your surgery. You will make yourself sick with worry if you don't. If, and I mean a big if, something happens that delays your surgery then know it will be for the best at this time. I will have to look at it the same way if something interferes with mine. Easier said than done but I hope I can be strong anyway. You and I have the exact same surgery date. Mine is schedule for 11:00 AM what time is yours scheduled for?

Trish,
I was postponed twice last year in April,2011 for a few reasons...
Doctors Strike, urine,Lungs (I have mild copd),and WLS ftiends advised to take Vit K and my PS team is totally against that plan.
I was finally TT-ed in August,2011.
We all have fears that it won't happen and fear of pain.
