I was told to use neosporin until the stitches came out at two weeks post op.  I was given antibiotics for 10 days but I had multiple procedures.  Could you be reacting to the soap you use in the shower?

Keep  calling your doctor until you feel good.  This is what your surgeon was paid to do.... Take care of you!

I'm sorry you're uncomfortable.  I didn't get bad swelling.  I ate a lot of papaya and watermelon to keep flushing.  Hydrate well.

I'm sorry you are dealing with all of that.  I wasn't actually given any compression gear to wear and was told to just keep the incisions clean using antibacterial soap in the shower when I had an extended brachioplasty.  My PS didn't want any neosporin etc to be used. My arms healed absolutely wonderfully.  I would definitely make sure you aren't allergic to neosporin.  I have heard that bacitracin is less harsh than neosporin.  Maybe you can check on that with your PS if you feel that you need to be putting something on the wound...  Good luck!!

I'm allergic to neosporin and the only topical antibiotic I can use is mupirocin.  You might want to ask for that.  Also, I had openings and I used wet to dry dressing.  It is not uncommon, apparently, for post WLS patients to have "openings" after plastic surgery since our skin is thin and sometimes we can be less well nourished.
