This is something that is un-nerving me.
Having work hard to get over a very tramatic experience in my life( 10+ yrs ago), having a stranger (even if he is a surgeon) look me over is making me nervous.  I'm becoming very anxious that I might just not be able to handle being photographed without the emotions/memories coming rushing back.  I don't know what to do. Should I mention this to the nurse before hand? Even talking about it is un-nerving.

Any advice?

Just try to relax, close your eyes and try to think how great you will look after surgery.  My surgeon was very professional.  He had me stand in one spot and told me when to turn and when to raise my arms.  It probably only took about 3 minutes even though it felt like ten.  Just tell yourself that the end result will out weigh the discomfort of being on display.  Good luck to you.

Thanks for the advice.
I'll try not to get so worked up about it and just see it as it is.... a doctor examining a patient.
Thanks again.

Can you take a trusted friend with you? I am pretty sure it will be ok to have a support person.
