Where did you go to have your plastic surgery done and why?  Would you recommend that surgeon to others and are you happy with your results. I am beginning my search for plastic surgeons and I really would appreiate the help of others who have alread been through this process.

Also, if you had insurance what did you insurance cover?  What procedure, or just hospital portion???

what was the total cost to you when it was all done???

I went to Dr Sauceda in Monterey Mexico. I LOVED him. I did most of my research here on OH ps forum and Dr Sauceda has his own group page(your more than welcome to join and check it out) I would have to say the pricing is what originally caught my eye. I had a tummy tuck, thigh lift, arm lift, breast lift with augmentation all 8 weeks ago. I had a neck lift 4 days later. The more procedures you combined the more you get a discounted price. The next deciding factor was I am single nd live alone. I didn't know if I would realistically take care of myself after being discharged. My package with Dr S not only included airfare, but 6 days in the hospital clinic and another week in a hotel with daily visits from the Dr and his nurse Patty to help with showering and bandages ect... The last deciding factor was I wanted to do all the procedures at once. I have never in my life called in sick to work, so taking time off was a big deal and I only wanted to do it once. I figured i also only wanted pain once. But I have to say I had NO pain. He uses twilight sedation instead of general anesthesia. I did have pain with the neck lift but not for very long. I have heard that others who have gone to him do fel uncomfortable at times, but haven't really heard anyone say it was painful. The whole experience was way easier than I ever expected. I pretty much just layed around the first month. But I just got back from a cruise last week and hoping to go back to work this week. The only thing that made me nervous is having a complication after I came home. But my PCP was willing to help me if needed. But I didn't need anything.

Is there anyway you can send me a link  to his site and a price list if you have it?  Thank you for your reply.

I'm computer challenged so don't know how to post a link. But I am sure one of the other ladies will chime  in. But you can click the forum link. Then click group directory. You will then see the join button for Dr Sauceda. I know he has a web page that has a generic price for single procedures but that isn't taking into consideration the multiple procedure discount. I would also click the discussion button to read past posts. There is a lot of info about past experiences. And feel free to ask questions too. That's how I knew Dr S was for me.

My insurance covered some because I had a deviated septum and 3 hernias, so that covered some OR time. The rest I paid out of pocket.

You can take pics of your front, side, back and other side and send him the pics at [email protected] and he'll send you back what he would recommend for you and a quote.

Everyone's cost varies, depending on how long surgery is going to be so my LBL might be different than yours.  Ball park mine was under $20k, include a full neck & facelift 4 days after my LBL, BL, arms and medial thigh lift.  I was in the clinic for 7 days and at the hotel for 7 days with daily visits from Dr Sauceda and his nurse Patty

I'll be going back for an UBL in Jan.

I stayed local and interviewed 3 surgeons and selected the one that I felt most comfortable with.

He follows my progress for a full year post-op and does any necessary repair work for free during that time.  I did not need any repair of my brachioplasty and breast lift.

I had a tummy tuck 6 weeks ago ---- I have some puffiness between my belly button and mons -- if that does not resolve itself by 10 months out, he will perform liposuction for free.

I paid about 8,000 for the brachio and breast lift combined
I paid 6,750 for the tummy tuck

They were both performed in a fully accredited out-patient surgical center with anesthesia and nursing care.

My insurance did not pay for anything (not even my WLS) ---- so, total, I am out about 27,000 for the band and 2 rounds of plastic surgery.

HIghly recommend Joseph Michaels.  He is in North Bethesda, MD so I do not know where you are or if you want to travel in the states or only to Mexico.  I am happy to discuss anything with you.

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!
