Lower Abdomen Swelling Post Tummy Tuck?

Hi everyone. I am almost 6 weeks post-op from my tummy tuck and had a question regarding how everyone's lower abdomens looks/looked. Maybe I am extra sensitive because I am dealing with a horrific rash still, but the lower part of my tummy seems kind of puffy looking. I am telling myself it is normal given the surgery that I had but that combined with an unknown rash, I am a little concerned.

How has/does everyone else's lower tummy look/looked after almost 6 weeks? Is it completely flat or still a little swollen? I am still too puffy to button my jeans for example.

Thanks for your comments. This has been quite a journey....

I am 6 months out and I am still dealing with swelling.  It can last up to a year I was told.  I know I had a rash from the surgical tape.

Congrats on your surgery

I had surgery the day before you and yes I'm still puffy. I've been measuring and I've gone down like 4-5 inches in the past 3 weeks or so, by drinking tons of water.

I'm still puffy though, on the high area of the mons and then just above the incision below the belly button. I was actually completely numb there but have sensation there now. Drink tha****er like a fi**** helps with the puffiness!

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself, I'm 8 weeks post op from an LBL and still have swelling! The swelling didn't really start to get noticeably better until about a week ago, so hang in there. It can take six months to a year to see your final results.

I had my surgery almost 8 weeks ago.   At my check up three weeks ago, he told me all the swelling was gone.  I'm pretty flat and am pleasantly surprised because I expected to be swollen for months.   I just can't wait for the scars to fade more (I had a lower body lift too).  My husband refers to my incision as my zipper.  I think I look like Frankenstein but I just keep slathering it with vitamin E oil or Lubriderm several times a day and my surgeon and others who have seen it all say it's healing very, very well.
