This one is in Arabic, however, start the video at 2:15 on the video player. The patient is a male is awake (on his cell phone) and when they take part of his stomach off I was fascinated and grossed out but it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! On his way out of the hospital, he is marching in place and smiling away. I hope that mine is that great!

Thank you Penny for sharing your information with me and others. My surgeon wants to do the Fleur de Lis TT first, recovery from that, then do the lower butt lift and thighs, recover from that and then finish up with my arms and a boob lift if I want that. I may be like you after the first surgery and be happy with my saggy butt and leave it alone too!
I wonders how you've been as you don't post on the boards as much as b4 your Plastics and then with necrotic issues. You were one of the people I followed especially when I had my issues.
Unfortunately I do not share this complication of pouch. Did however lose a little weight (still not at "normal" BMI -dang, being only 152cm/5ft).
I went in August,2011 for pannilectomy (and teeny hernia repair on C-scar) weighing 83K. Three kilo was removed. I Thank GD and without any major efforts of my own in terms of exercise-I don't !- but I don't mind nowadays if I am out and about-to walk. I now weigh 77-78K. I dropped a little more but it was after diet Pre-colonoscopy this past Tuesday and at the hospital where the colonoscopy was done, I also went for a DEXA Bone Density and was weighed - 74.5K -not my usual scale.
In any case I have lost weight more than the "excess skin removal". I hope can learn to majestic more efforts and succeed to drop a few more kilos- I was advised that based on my previous weight-loss ops, my realistic weight could be 70K. My Bariatric Surgeon whom I have not officially seen-but did pop in to him this past Tuesday!- said that it is fine the way I am now. We do WLS to lose weight and become healthy. All too often, we,or at least I become overly concerned with the number on the scale and really need to look at the whole person on how changes have happened and the end results that usually and minimally occur-health (food choices and moving the body); and appearance
and clothing/hair/accessories.

Thanks Mimi - I don't post as often - just too busy living life!!
I was hospitalized for a bowel obstruction a week ago and it was horrible excruitating pain. Praise God it resolved without having surgery. I became week and feeble after a couple days of not eating and getting IV narcotics, sedatives, enemas, laxatives, being bedrest, etc. I did lose a couple more pounds and am trying to gain my strength back.
I get nauseated every time I eat. I don't vomit - just feek icky and can't even drink. I have been this way since I had the RNY. Since I can't eat the volume of food I used to since my abdominoplasty with muscle sculpting - I just can't eat enough "regular" raw/whole food. I have whey isolate protein powders twice a day to get enough protein in. ( I could live on liquids but I know my body needs solid food and fiber.)
My labs are good. I look bony - every rib is showing, hands are all boney, all my spine bones stick out, shoulder bone stick out, etc. I'd like to look healthier and not so feeble.
Gets frustrating at times. I still work part-time, babysit and stay busy. It is so much easier being a "small" person.
Best wishes to you in Isreal. Penny

I am not able to eat as much lean protein as I could before my tummy tuck.
While I was first recuperating, and relying on soft foods and crackers, I did not notice, but once I went back to 'protein first' --- I find that I can't eat more than about 2 ounces at a time - and not much else.
I am actually going tomorrow to have a little unfill of my band to allow me to eat more of the right foods.
I hope you can find a solution to get in what you can and stop the losing if that is what you want.
Personally, I am thrilled with the 7 - 8 pound loss I have had since my tummy tuck and would be happy to lose about 10 more -- but definitely want to stop there.

Thanks. Of course with the RNY - there is no adjustment. I have problems with solid protein. I can eat ground meat - about 2 ounces. I do better with organic eggs (boiled or scrambled) organic cottage cheese and organic unpasturized homemade cheese or organic cheese sticks, baby bel cheese, etc.. The rest of my protein is from whey isolate powder in a hot drink, smoothie, or mixed with unflavored greek yogurt with pumpkin puree (some cinnamon, SF caramel syrup.)
I eat whole organic greens and other watery veggies (cucumber, yellow peppers, avacado, cherry tomatoes, etc.) I also eat fresh berries and other fruit daily.
Since the volume of food I eat is small - I go for nutrition to nourish my cells, brain, heart, gut, etc.
I don't eat high calorie food with low nutrition - I eat more low calorie food with high nutrition value.
I do eat carbs (veggies & fruit have carbs), but I do stay away from refined, processed foods (white flour, white sugar, high fructose corn syrup, etc.)
I do eat a few crackers and bisquits - mostly European as they have little sugar and no genetically modified ingredients. My "rule" is 9gm or less sugar per serving. That leaves most sweets and processed foods from the US out!
Best wishes. Penny
