2 months until LBL + chest reduction plus surgeon selection (and the need of a butt!)
Hey thanks!
I feel it's very important to "do the homework" and not take the first surgeon that comes along or go with some guy that is the closest to your house, you know? I read about people requiring revisions and touch-ups, and I'm trying to stack the cards in my favor to be able to avoid that, if possible.
Something that seeing so many doctors has taught me is that the results and aesthetics between the surgeons are very different. I think it's important for people to keep in mind that if they see post-op pictures and go "hmm.... that's not what I was expecting, or I don't know if I'd be happy with that" then they should keep looking! ;)

My doctor did so many procedures at once, and I trusted him completely. To me his extremely personal nature, coupled with his clear competence and confidence, made me super confident that he would get me through safely with great results.
You might want to check out Dr. Behmand of Walnut Creek. You can see my pictures on my profile of his work on me, although it's just a week out and I look even better now. I think I'd have a hard time trusting a doctor who was so nervous that they couldn't even do a full LBL in one sitting.
My results are great.. I didn't need separate procedures. I did walk slightly hunched over for 1.5 weeks, until I saw him and he said stand up straight. I started to do that right away, a little at a time, and by the end of the day I was walking fully erect, with just a little shoulder rounding.
Now I can stand fully erect with my shoulders back and chest out. I know it's a hard choice, but you have at least 3 people I know of from this group (Patty and Jen Chapman and myself) who are thrilled with Dr. B, and so you have some great recommendations.

What a great post. I just wanted to say that my husband is a no butt kinda guy. When I met him he was 180lbs soaking wet and 6'2". I always kidded him that he had an old man butt. So, my guess is that's just the way your body is made. As he's put on weight (he's 210 now) almost all of it has gone to his butt. I love that but I know he wants to lose weight so I support it and know he'll have no butt again. Oh well.
I know I'm having Dr. Sauceda in Mexico do my plastics when I'm ready as he specializes in people who have lost a lot of weight. I just can't afford anyone in the states and he has the pics and years of doing LBL to back him up. I think it's great that you found a doc that trust and is doing what you want. I'm excited for you! Keep us updated on how it all goes.
