Lipo and scar revision now after TT last year anyone else?
I had the fleur de lis (anchor TT) last summer with lipo to my hips, BL and BA. I wore my compression garment for 6 months and the swelling lasted a long time especially in my upper abdomen. Eventually the upper abdomen under my scar just stayed really hard. The doctor said it would go away. It has broken up some but now I have a stomach roll on top that you can really grab and a muffin top on the sides. I went to see him today about getting my upper abd dog ear fixed as well as a scar on my breast. He's going to fix the skin for free. I told him I wasn't happy with my upper abdomen. He said he would do lipo and gave me quite a deal. This is probably because I'm under a year from surgery. I've scheduled my lipo for my stomach and muffin top end of June. Anyone else develop fat rolls after TT? I've only gained 3-5 lbs since last year. I exercise all the time and do a ton of crunches everyday.
3-5 pounds could make a difference in your abdominal fat. How much cardio are you doing? The only way to reduce body fat is through cardio, which helps to burn fat all over your body. Crunches will strengthen the muscles, but if there is fat overlying the muscle, crunches won't reduce the muffin top.
I walk, run and go to the gym. I'm training for my 4th half marathon. I was so swollen at first, it was hard to see the results. He said I had swelling for a long time. I think it is just now we're seeing that I need more work done. I have some issues with my TSH also. I had thyroid cancer in 2007 and have been on Synthroid since. Recently out of the blue, I had issue absorbing my dose. I changed the timing of the drug and my supplements. It's coming down slowly. This can put weight on too. I put on 30lbs right after starting Synthroid when I was first diagnosed without changing my diet.. It scares me to death. I don't want to gain my weight back.
I'm having a TT revision on Mon. along with an arm lift. It sounds a little different than yours, but I did have fleur de lis TT, and ended up lop-sided above the belly button! My left side clearly has a bulge that the right side doesn't have. It has been 2 yrs. since my TT and I'm having this repaired by a different surgeon. She is also lifting the mons area more, as this still has a bulge, too. I have done plenty of ab exercises, and none of them helped.
Good luck with your revisions!
