So glad I made the choice to have my tt one week tomorrow it went so fast. I didn't seem to have much pain at all didn't really take pain pills except the first two day! But I have had bad, really bad headaches since surgery their starting to get less frequently which is good. And already had one of the two drains removed today which kind of hurt the other is coming out weds or Friday (good by teticles)! Im still very swollen does anyone have an estamated time for swelling to go down? I look prgo...lol but feel great will post pics soon. And if anyone kind of knows how long before u will turkey know what ur results will look like thanks

I hear that it can take six months to a year for the majority of the swelling to go down, but my surgeons says that you keep seeing significant differences every month. My six months you can realistically have an idea of what your final results will be, but you might not get to see them for up to a year.
Im so glad to hear that you're having such a smooth recovery and that you haven't had an issue with pain! Can't wait to see some pics!

Most of my swelling was gone in 2 months. By 6 months, it was pretty much all gone. My waist was 4 inches bigger immediately post-op, but I could still see that my results were excellent. You should take the pain pills for your headaches. You need to get your rest in order to heal.

About a week after my surgery I had what is know as pitting edema....that might be the mushiness that you are talking about.  It is swelling that when you put alittle pressure on your finger that is touching your stomach and then take it away..it leaves an indent...that is pitting edema..and that is what I had for about a week..then the swelling went down.  Does that sound like what you have?  Mine was at about the time that you are now in your post op recovery.

you sounds like you are doing great!
