Arms...agony..help!
I had a LBL and Bracheoplasty in the summer of 2006. I had no idea that the arms would be HELL compared to the LBL. The swelling was unbelievable, all the way to my fingertips. Follow the advice given here -- wearing compression things, and protect the skin from rubbing. The swelling and pain will subside soon.
I had to have some revision to reduce the scars -- wasn't thrilled about that, but the revision didn't cause swelling much at all --- and the doctor did it in the office under local. What was unexpected? I am completely numb on the underside of my arms after almost 6 years. I still see the scars, but I can live with them in my late 50's-- the size of my arms are normal.
