I had my tummy tuck 3 weeks ago today.
I put on (button and zipped) my regular, size 8 capri's today.
I lost about 100 pounds 15 years ago --- gained it all back and a bit more.
I had my band surgery almost 3 years ago and lost 130 pounds.
My tummy was big in my eyes, but nothing that insurance would consider covering.
I had a flap that covered my belly button -- and an apron below it.
My surgery was in an outpatient facility -- about 2 hours under anesthesia for the whole procedure.
I did not have any drains, and I did have a pain pump inserted. The pain pump lasted about 2 days.
I went back for a wound check the day after surgery and then again at 10 days post op (I go back again next week).
I resumed working from home (project management) after 11 days -- could have used 2 or 3 more, I took alot of breaks on the first few days.
Overall, I feel great. I am back to walking about an hour a day.
At first, I had some referred pain in my right thigh (just above the knee) but that has resolved itself and I am pain free.
I know that everyone has their own experience --- and I have read some stories that are scary.
I am so grateful to have had no complications (yet, at least) and to be healing quickly.
I just wanted some of you who are researching to see a side of this that is easier than most seem to be.
As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I will show a before/after.

I thought mine was pretty easy also, and I was under for a long time because I had my tt and neck lift done together at a teaching hospital. I was already out shopping for new clothes at 3 weeks out. I still wear that first dress I bought post tt, it was so sweet to have a perfectly flat stomach for the first time ever and it doesn't get old ever. My tt was done back in 2006 and I still love it.
