Submitting to insurance - few ?'s about the surgery...

Back from the plastic surgeons office! He will be submitting to insurance either tomorrow or the next day! He asked if I'm going anywhere after the wedding…so that makes me wonder how quickly we'll get a yay or nay from insurance O_o. ALSO, I told him my insurance only covers a panniculectomy and he told me "my reputation covers much more" - you'll leave there with an hourglass figure and 6 drains. OMG! I'm so happy now, if they'll just approve the panniculectomy! We all know what 6 drains means! Definitely more than a panniculectomy in the works) ^_^ MAJOR happy face - I needed that today!

QUESTIONS....omg questions lol

Not that many actually (at least not yet, probly after approval if they do approve) I know lots of you say that you dont change size right after surgery or even go up a size in some cases.  I dont wanna know about size loss, I can search and read that on here where its already posted lol :P What I wanna know is ...those of you that had the hanging pannus ...did your pants fit better once the swelling went down? Right now I have to worry about my mons and pannus creating a horrible camel toe to be honest! I have to buy a 14 because of it but my hips are most comfy in a 10/12..still though when the skin moves it wiggles my pants out of place. Been staying in a dress most of the time since pants look funky :( I guess my real question is....will I ever be comfy in jeans?!

I had a substantial hanging pannus and a terrible hanging area in the mons region.  Like you, I had to buy jeans in a larger size just to pack the pannus in.  I couldnt eat a meal while seated without unbuttoning my jeans because they acted like a compression garment or spanx.

The change for me post op was dramatic. I was actually able to buy jeans the size that I was all over rather than trying to fit my hanging stomach into a pair. My LBLI dropped 2 sizes in jeans. I can wear jeans or pants and be totally comfortable sitting or standing.  My mons area now looks like it did pre-weight gain.  I've had a BL and augmentation, thighs, arms and the LBL done. For me, the LBL and the change for my abdomen and mons area is the biggest improvement and thrills me still.

I can't tell you how wonderful you will feel to be "normal" and get rid of that excess in skin and tissue in the front. It is fantastic!
