Its like what else can go wrong, first the infection then the fluid build up and swelling now another jp drain and since yesterday it wont hold a suction (tears) im so depressed and tired of things going wrong with this, why cant i be normal? My surgeon stitch it to my stomach for a good closure but now its not working at all. I wonder what will be his plan 2 ?? Anyone ever experience this????

Val, I don't know why you keep having such bad luck when it comes to your recovery. I don't ave any experience about your drains not working. I did recently see the documentary show the real skinny. One of he patients on the show had a drain that would not suction. The Dr fixed it while he was in his office. I don't know how he did it but it looked uncomfortable, but also looked like it was fixed pretty quick. I hope things get better for you soon :(

I would think that unless you are close to it being ready to be taken out that it would beed to be inserted back in place. Let us know what happens.

Did they show u how to strip it sometimes a clot can get stuck
In it,
First try taking the cap off and pressing if together
Then when the sides r touching put the cap on real fast.

If that doesn't work call ur Drs. Office,DO NOT TRY TO
PU**** BACK IN if u think it came out
