pain/tenderness post arm lift...
Does anyone out there have pain along their scars post-brachio?
I'm about 8months post op. I've been used to wearing sweaters and long-sleeves all winter. Now that I'm switching to short sleeves, I find myself getting a stinging pain occasionally along my arm scars. They don't hurt all the time, but if I walk and rub my arms along my side, or my purse accidently scraps lightly on them on the way over my shoulder...ZINGAA!!
Anyone else have this?
I don't remember having this feeling last summer before my revision...

It sounds like nerve regeneration. I've noticed a bit in the late afternoons, when my arms rub against my clothes, but no zingers. I do try to rub lotion into the scars in the morning and at night to help desensitize the scars.

Hi Erica! I was told by my physical therapist that the more we rub and "roll" the scar between our fingers and kind of pinch it a bit, the more we desensitize it. I was also told to scrub it with a washcloth during showers. I started doing all of this and it has made a huge difference in just a few weeks. And I was told to do this while the scar is still red cause once the scar turns white it is what it is. So now is the time to work on it.

I was thinking of the dry brushing for circulation benefits and swelling. I had a lot of swelling in my legs and particularly ankles and feet following abdoinoplasty/lipo last year. The dry brushing helped a great deal.
One thing the article said was use a stiff brush. Ouch! While my brush isn't super soft I wouldn't call it stiff but it yielded the desired results.
Just hard to maintain the habit of dry brushing your whole body before a shower. I need to get back to it since I'm sure it will be of benefit w/ warmer weather coming.
