I scheduled a lymphatic massage for my arms, well mainly one arm which has an area on the inner elbow that keeps swelling. My ps said massage should really help resolve it. Has anyone had luck with lymphatic massages? If so, how often did you go & how long were your sessions (30 or 60 mins)? Thanks!

I went for massages for the past 5 weeks 1x a week for 60 minutes. I also did self massage with arnica massage oil. If nothing else, it made me feel better.

I found the accupressure on the feet helped me too.

VSG on 05/15/10 with
Google dry brushing.  I discovered that after my abdominoplasty and it really helped my swelling.

Lymphatic massage is also just an amazingly wonderful thing!  Swelling or not.  It's just a light touch, relaxing massage.  Go for it.

I had my arms massaged when I was in physical therapy for a frozen shoulder.  The major take-home point was that the motion is always downward, like from shoulder towards wrist.

All of the girls at the recovery ran*****osta Rica (I just got back from there after a facelift) who had lipo did lymphatic massage. They all did an hour, and most did it every day (it's only 25.00 for an hour in Costa Rica) with a lady who came to the ranch. Some doctors insist on it, and other's say not to use it. My doc, for instance, did not want his patients doing it after a facelift, but all the docs who do lipo insisted on it. They all said that it helped them greatly in reducing swelling and healing more quickly.
