Pain in upper leg following TT

Imhad my tummy tuck 11 days ago.

I am thrilled with the results so,far, but have a question about pain that radiates down my right thigh.

I think it is probably just referred pain (and will ask my surgeon when I see him tomorrow), but it is the only real pain I have.

Is it normal to have pain and tingling on the upper thigh, down to the top of my knee?

I remember having numbness in my left thigh-infect I sometimes still suffer with a sense of numbness even if I have an itch. Very annoying.

Thank you for your response.

My doc said it is referred pain .... And it is worse late in the day as I sem to have more swelling at that time also.

Overall, he said that my healing is a 20 on a scale of 1-10.......he is thrilled with my progress.

I have no drains and no fluid accumulation. Just a flat tummy and the cutest little belly button you have ever seen!

MY FIRST THOUGHT IS BLOOD CLOT,  I WOULD GET IT CHECKED OUT IF IT WERE ME.

Thank you ... I got checked today and have no blood clot .... Referred pain and some numbness, probably from the pain pump irritating the nerve at my upper thigh.

Tylenol for a few days should resolve it, if not I will check back with him.

Thank you for, your input, I am grateful for the suggestion.

Not sure if it's the same thing, but I had to go to the ER 3 days after to my TT, due to severe(#10) pain radiating from hip down right leg to foot.  This was so bad, I cried for hours.  Dr. thought it might be a blood clot, but after 9 hrs. in the ER, they finally decided it was sciatic pain.  I  had never had sciatica before, but now still get a twinge down the thigh from time to time.  My chiropractor suggested the dr. might have nicked a nerve in my hip during my extended TT.  I really would like to get a thigh lift, but because of this, not sure I want to take the chance.
Good luck when you see the dr. and hope your pain goes away soon.

Thank younfor the feedback.

I saw my surgeon today --no blood clot, and since it is happening in the leg that my pain pump was in, he is sure that it is referred pain.

My pain pump came out at the very upper portion of my right thigh and it may have irritated the nerve on that side.

The pain is manageable with Tylenol, so I am going to just keep going as is for 2 weeks and report back to him unless it gets worse.

My other healing is going very well.

Kath, I get nerve or sciatic pain there like BonBon.  What helps is to lie flat on my back with my thighs raised at a right angle over a tall plastic tub (or something like that) with calves resting on the lid of the tub.  A tall stool or box would work, too.

GLAD YOU GOT IT CHECKED.  BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.  HOPE THIS RESOLVES ITSELF AS YOUR NERVES CALM DOWN WITH HEALING.
