Scar Tissue?

Hi gang,

I've got a few areas of significant scar tissue under my scars (at 5 weeks post-op). My surgeon has already said that in a few months time he will have to go in to remove the scar tissue but explained that it's a really quick in and out procedure. Did anyone else have significant (feels like the size of a jolly rancher candy, or, in another spot, about the size of a cherry) scar tissue and did you have to get it removed?

My arm scars went keloid - raised and ropey. I had then removed, and they came right back. I'm told this is often the case. I kind of regret the surgery because they aren't better and I'm 8months behind in healing now.

I am back to nightly compression garments on my arms and although I hate sleeping with those damn things, I am noticing a big difference. The scars are flattening quickly and the ends are starting to go white. I'm hopeful that by the end of summer they may be barely visible. Hoping.

My scars look fine (and flat) on the surface. I can just feel the scar tissue under the skin...

I had LBL with panniculectomy a year ago yesterday and ever since the incisions closed I've massaged them with Bio-Oil every evening and Mederma gel in the morning (more often for the first few months). Believe it or not, it really does help with scarring and even smoothed out the two areas I had where the incision pulled.
